The Borough of Manhattan Community College is planning a modernization project for the College
Library, which is being supported, in large part, by the Student
Technology Fee. The Library has formed a committee that has
been working with the architectural firm Ronnette Riley Architect,
on the planning aspects of the project.
The modernization project is currently at the end of the design
stage with the major decisions on the floor plan complete.
View the proposed floor plan.
Highlights of the project include: increased stacks space
to hold a larger collection of books, a state-of-the-art smart
classroom for instruction, centralized reference desk, new
furniture, additional and improved group study rooms, and
enhanced video viewing facilities.
