Library Tour - Book Locations

Stacks

Most of the books in the library are in the Stacks. These books may be borrowed for three weeks.

Reserve

The Circulation Desk and the Reserve Desk are the same place. Go there to check books out, return books or for short term loans of textbooks.

Reference

Reference books always stay in the library, but don’t need to be checked in and out like Reserve books.

New Books

New books are found in three display units in the library, by the Reference Desk, by the Reference shelves and by the Circulation Desk. These books have a normal, three week loan period.

Leisure Reading / Paperbacks

Our Leisure Reading collection is in the first four aisles of the Stacks, behind New Books. These books are shelved by the author’s last name instead of by call number.
