Open house for new group study space

On September 4, from 2pm to 4pm, the Library and Learning Resource Center will host an open house to celebrate the newly renovated group study room in S430 (formerly quiet study).

This new study space provides students with a bright, open area to work in groups, receive tutoring, and meet with mentors.  Having these educational activities in a separate room from the Library will ensure that the Library is truly a quiet space for study, reflection, and relaxation.

We are excited to have everyone see the new space!  Please stop by!

Access to BMCC Library’s resources from off-campus is changing!

Instead of using your BMCC user name and password you will use the barcode on the back of your BMCC ID card. Your barcode starts with the numbers 214.
This change takes effect as of August 27, 2019. Please contact us with any questions or concerns at

Check out our new Manga Collection!

manga display 2019The Library has been growing its manga collection, which is currently expanding at a rapid rate. Manga is the Japanese word for comics and are incredibly popular, spanning all genres and demographics.

The manga is part of the Library’s leisure reading collection and can be borrowed for four weeks at a time.

As this collection is currently growing, we may not yet have every title you’re looking for or the next volume you need. If you’re looking for something we don’t yet have, please see our guide on how to get books from other libraries including the rest of CUNY and NYPL.
